Embodying the Montessori philosophy, our Early Learning programs, Wood Ducklings, provide the ideal preparation for inquiring young minds and offer a unique opportunity for parents and children to learn together in a Montessori environment, guided and supported by a trained coordinator.

Southern Montessori Wood Ducklings (8 Months – 3 Years)
The first three years of life are a time of extraordinary growth, discovery, and connection. Southern Montessori Wood Ducklings is our Montessori parent-child program for children aged 8months –3 years, offering families a calm, nurturing environment where young children can explore, move, and learn alongside their caregivers. Guided by a trained Montessori facilitator, children develop confidence, independence, coordination, language, and social connection through carefully prepared experiences that support natural development. At the same time, parents gain practical insight into Montessori principles and how to support their child’s development at home.
What Children Experience
Wood Ducklings provides opportunities for children to:
- explore hands-on Montessori materials
- develop movement and coordination
- build language through interaction and experience
- practise early independence and self-help skills
- engage in sensory exploration and social learning
Children are encouraged to move freely within a carefully prepared environment, choosing activities that match their interests and stage of development.
Learning Together
A unique aspect of the Wood Ducklings program is that parents and children learn together.
Families are supported to better understand their child’s development through observation, responsive interaction, and practical Montessori strategies that can be incorporated into daily life at home. The program also provides opportunities for families to connect within a warm and supportive community.
Session Times
Southern Montessori Wood Ducklings is offered twice weekly:
- Tuesday: 9:15am – 11:15am
- Friday: 9:15am – 11:15am
For children aged 8 months –3 years.
