How to Enrol?

Please complete an Enrolment Enquiry for your child/ren. As part of this enquiry you will be able to request a prospectus. Once completed you will be sent a confirmation email with a link to book a Principal’s tour. School tours provide an opportunity to see our Montessori learning environment in action. We look forward to helping you arrange a tour of our school and discuss your child’s learning pathway.

Children may enter Southern Montessori School in Baby Steps, Toddlers, Preschool or Reception. Intake at other year levels is dependent on availability and at the Principal’s discretion.

Families are invited to attend an enrolment interview with the Principal or her delegate. Please note that at any stage in the enrolment process, the School may require additional information from the family.

The offer of place is at the sole discretion of the School. Factors for consideration include:

• The availability of a place for the student
• The student’s ability to benefit from our educational program
• The family’s commitment to Montessori philosophy

As an independent, non-government organisation, Southern Montessori Education Centre charges fees, which are determined annually by the Board of Governors, as part of its overall operation.

School Fees

2021 School Fees can be found here. Invoices are issued each Term with all fees charged payable by due dates, unless written variation is provided by the Business Manager.

Registration Fee

A nominal fee is payable upon Registration of Interest for each child.

Enrolment Deposit

Upon acceptance of a place at the school, parents and / or guardians are required to pay an Enrolment Deposit. In the final term of the final year available at Southern Montessori School, the Enrolment Deposit will be credited towards the fees for that term.

Sibling Discounts

Sibling Discounts are available where two or more students from the same family attend the Centre at the same time. The discount applies only to the second and each subsequent child.

Enrolment Withdrawal

Upon withdrawal, all fees due and payable must be settled in full by:-

1. the child’s last day of attendance at Southern Montessori School; or
2. the child’s last day of attendance in Term 4 each year; whichever occurs sooner.

Payments

Fees may be paid by various instalment arrangements by arrangement with the Business Manager. The School offers payment by EFTPOS, BPay, Direct Deposit and also Online via our website.

Financial Hardship

The Centre acknowledges that at times a family’s financial circumstances may significantly change.  Families experiencing temporary financial hardship may apply to the Business Manager for a Fee Remission.
